According to me, marketing your music is as important, if not more, as actually releasing your music. This is because no matter how good a song is, if no one is listening to it, it doesn't make your hard work worthwhile. Hence, I quickly changed my focus to trying to build an active fanbase who were genuinely interested in my music.
Over the past year I've slowly been growing my fanbase to a point where I have released 7 songs with a combined total of 1,000,000 streams.
If my music journey till date has taught me anything, it's that believing in yourself is the most crucial ingredient in the recipe for success.
If I hadn't had the courage to start my music journey, I would not be the young, confident and ambitious teenager I am today.
I'm very grateful to everyone who's supported me throughout my journey and I can assure you this is not the last you will hear of King Div.

“2020” was one of my first songs ever made. I wrote it towards the end of 2019, looking forward to the new year and new experiences that would come with it. It goes without saying that the year 2020 didn’t go as planned, but the challenges that I overcame throughout the year certainly passed my expectations. I recorded this song on my phone microphone, using GarageBand to compile, mix and master it. Over the 15 months of its release, “2020” has accumulated over 200,000 streams across all platforms, and with the success it has reaped, I have been able to improve the quality of my music to help create the best product for the fans.

After the success of my first single, “2020”, the COVID-19 pandemic struck and the world was hurled into panic, chaos and lockdowns. “Spaghetti” was a song I had been intending to release on a different, Spanish guitar beat, but due to a dispute with my producer, I had to look for an alternative. With the little amount of money I made from “2020”, I managed to afford a studio session, to get this song recorded and released at a better quality than “2020”. “Spaghetti” has received over 180,000 streams across all platforms, and is easily one of my more catchier and upbeat songs. The song was written based off the highly popular “Spaghetti” meme, and was recorded, mixed and mastered in under an hour.

“Imperfect” is currently my most streamed and most successful song, accumulating over 400,000 streams across all streaming services and social media in less than a year. I released “Imperfect” on my 16th birthday, June 10th, as a way to thank my fans for all the love and support I was receiving. I wanted to make an uplifting, positive song where I let everyone know that, “You aren’t perfect, but I know that you're worth it.” “Imperfect” is a very special song to me, and one of my personal favourites.

Based on the iconic GTA line by Carl Johnson, "Ah Shit Here We Go Again", turned into a trend on TikTok, with several creators making short videos using the sound. This song has over 380,000 streams on all platforms and was highly popularised thanks to social media trends. This is my 4th official release and my hardest hitting trap song. I’d be very keen on continuing to make songs like this.

Stop Me was recorded at a time when I was receiving a lot of love from my fans, along with criticism from haters, and decided to sing a melody for Stop Me. I wanted to talk about how no one can stop you from reaching your goals and dreams, and you will achieve it no matter what. This was a mix of heavy hitting lyricism along with melodic soothing flows which made this song my personal favourite. The Spanish guitar paired with the drum was a beat I simply had to record on, and I couldn’t be more glad that I did.

Filled with emotions, this song is very personal to me.
Unlike the others, the description for this one is something I'm keeping to myself for now :)

"Mess" was created as a way to show everybody that they are not alone in their struggles, and that we will all get through whatever obstacles may be in our way.
I’m so glad I’ve finally been able to show you guys the hard work put into this song over the past 6 months.
"Mess" is the first song for which I have also released a music video and I have massive plans for such releases in the future.

I always appreciate constructive criticism and general feedback on my work :)
