MY NEW SINGLE: "MESS"

Everyone has experienced the lyrics of this song at some point in their life.

"Mess" was created as a way to show everybody that they are not alone in their struggles, and that we will all get through whatever obstacles may be in our way.

I’m so glad I’ve finally been able to show you guys the hard work put into this song over the past 6 months.

"Mess" is the first song for which I have also released a music video and I have massive plans for such releases in the future.

MY STORY

Ever since I was a kid music always had an immense impact on my life, whether it was school assemblies, family get-togethers or simply car journeys with the radio playing.

I started listening to hip hop music in particular when 'King Kunta' by Kendrick Lamar came on the radio. Instantly, it became my favourite. After my first listen, I played it on repeat at home and by the next day, I knew every single bar of the song. That really boosted my music obsession...

However, since I was 4 years old, becoming a professional cricketer was the only thing on my mind.

I have spent most of my childhood across New Zealand and India and in my years in India, my goal of being a professional cricketer became just one of many. Soon, music started taking over.

I was in many 'rap groups' and 'bands' with my friends from primary school, and the amusement I get from those memories, is priceless. I always knew I loved music, and somewhere inside me, I knew it would eventually be a big part of my life but I never knew where to start.

I started writing songs daily, but most of the tunes and lyrics were repetitive (to be fair to myself, I was a 13 year old with not much to write about). So, I needed to improve myself, whether it was my flow, delivery or lyrics.

I needed more practice and experience. For the next two years, I spent my time trying different styles and experimenting with my music until in January 2020, I believed I was ready.
